Lunchin’

lunchbox1.jpglunchbox2.jpg

Here’s something to think about for the future — personalized lunchboxes!  My little nephew started pre-school this year, and we got him his own lunchbox from Ogg Studios in Long Beach, California. And boy does he look forward to taking it to school!

Now he can power lunch with the best of them.

Baby Picasso

If you’re artsy-fartsy like we are, you want to expose your baby to as much art as possible…fine art, pop art, design. We’ve already tried to explain to our toddler the importance of knowing the difference between a Monet and a Manet. Seeing as she’s a genius and all, I think she gets it!…Which brings me to this Keith Haring rocker I found at Zebra Hall. It’s brilliant! haringbabyrocker1.jpg

The website says that this rocker is “the official authorized version from the Haring estate.” So, you can liven up your baby’s playroom and expose him to the arts at the same time. And for only $165, this may be your only chance to say that you own an authentic Keith Haring!

Daddy’s Rocker Pick

Baby Daddy has officially put in his vote for “Best Looking Rocker”. Here you have it. Does he have some good taste or what? I have to say that this rocker by Modern Tots would go perfectly in our den. I couldn’t have picked a better looking one if I tried.

Rubber Duckie, You’re The One

jcbun6dy.jpg

Okay, so this little duck isn’t made out of rubber, but just look at him. He’s the perfect little Easter gift for your neice or nephew.

He’s not just for Easter time though. What if you’re about to read “The Ugly Duckling” as a bedtime story? Bring him out.   This little guy will definitely come in handy.

Security Blankets

swaddle.jpg

It was a hard decision whether this swaddle blanket should be showcased on Baby Gear Guru or on Baby Clothes Hound , since it’s kind of a cross between clothing and a blanket. But the decision was made, and I’m sticking to it.

I actually think it would be really fun to be swaddled as an adult person too. Of course you would have to be in a safe place or it would be a little scary, but it’s probably really really comforting.

Pacifiers - Friends or foes?

baby-pacifier.jpg

It seems that the jury is still out on whether pacifiers are good for babies or not. Personally, my little one and I use them every once in a while, but they’re by no means a staple. I think that when she starts teething we’ll move on to teething toys like the organic Baby Buddie from SeaShore Baby.

Until then, we’ll use them every now & then.  Most things are okay as long as they’re used in moderation. At least that’s what I tell myself every time our homemade ice cream maker comes into play.

The purse that’s not really a purse

gluxebag.jpg

I love that bag! Don’t get confused and think she’s just carrying an oversized handbag either. That bad boy is a diaper bag. I know, a diaper bag! Isn’t that crazy? I may just have to see it to believe it.

This Fleurville bag sure ain’t cheap ($200), but just look at it. I’m going to splurge “just this once”. It’s the beginning of Spring, a time of fresh starts and new beginnings. It’s white diaper bag that looks like a purse time. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
